To create a studio portrait.
The name HowTo comes from our willingness to try new things, even if we dont know how to do them. From this came this idea for our video portrait - a series of clips doing things which we can and can’t do to show others that starting from scratch can feel silly, but we do silly anyway. Our aim was to capture our playfulness and curiosity, and our collective courage through practice.

Mural
To encourage designers to be more confident in their practice.
We created a mural board where we asked fellow creatives what they with they knew how to do. We found that lots of our younger peers are scared to put their work our there. So, naturally, we created a space for just that. Courage to Create Exhibition was a place where we aked people to show any work they had - weather that be previous, unfinished or imperfect - to just put themselves out there. It was a short turn around because we didn’t want to leave any room for procrastination or doubt. What we ended with was a beautiful show of everyones work and creatives left feeling more confident in themselves.
