Brief and Solution

To develop a word of mouth driving campaign that gets people not only talking about Depop, but engaging with it too. 

Depop claims to be community focused, but interactions between users are solely transactional. Depop Dares is the solution to get users to connect - a daring campaign merging fashion, music, and community.

Each week Depop will release a new dare which challenges users to create looks with the clothes they are selling. These looks will be posted on the new section of the app, where users will pair it with a song which matches the vibe. 

Spotify will create weekly playlists inspired by the dare of the week, these will be turned into vinyls with the best look of the week featuring on it. All profit from vinyl sales will be donated to Fashion Revolution who share Depop’s vision for a more sustainable fashion future.

Local town takeovers will turn the streets into a gallery of slow fashion as Depop users looks will be displayed in otherwise unused places.
